About Archie
Archie just turned one and is a lively mix—mostly Lab and German Shepherd, with a touch of other breeds. He’s grown up in foster care since he was a tiny pup and has settled into his foster home with a knack for picking up training and routines. Archie’s personality is a blend: he’s goofy and loves a game of fetch, always ready for water play, but also quite protective when it comes to his home and the people he knows. He does a big bark when meeting new folks, which might startle some, but that’s his version of introducing himself; he’s never been a bite risk. Archie opens up faster if someone is willing to toss him a ball—and once he’s comfortable, his loyal side shines. He’s house and kennel trained, neutered, and current on his vaccinations. Archie gets along well with other dogs if they’re confident and can set clear boundaries, though he can get testy if another dog is pushy or overly submissive. He enjoys bonding and wants to please his people, never venturing far and always keeping an attentive eye on his surroundings. Since Archie can be wary in new situations, he isn’t the type to shine in busy adoption events—meeting him works best in a familiar park or at home where he can get to know you at his own pace. Archie is ready for someone who appreciates his mix of playfulness, loyalty, and quirks. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
