Star is a black and white/cream, short-coated female Labrador Retriever mix puppy with a medium build, currently residing in Potomac, MD. Although she isn’t spayed yet due to her young age, her vaccinations are up to date. She’s not yet house trained but shows early promise by using the outdoors for potty breaks. Star is well socialized and fits nicely into homes with other dogs, cats, and children.

About Star

Star and her siblings started life under an abandoned house, just 5–6 weeks old when found. Now thriving in a loving foster home at 7 weeks old, Star stands out as the smallest and most independent of her bunch. Her playful, curious spirit fits right in with the classic lab mix personality: she eats, naps, plays, and stirs up gentle mischief throughout the day. Despite her young age, Star has surprised her foster by already going potty outside when taken for frequent breaks and taking comfort in her crate. She enjoys playtime with other dogs in her foster home, proving to be friendly and well-socialized all around. Star currently weighs a petite 5 lbs and fills her days with puppy energy and affection. Given her age, Star needs an adopter who’s home most of the day and ready to help her grow through every stage of puppyhood. A contract will require her adopter to handle her spay at 6 months old through an affiliated veterinarian. She’s received her initial vaccines and preventatives. Star gets along with dogs, cats, and children. Ready for someone local to the DC/MD/NoVa area to become her forever family. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
