Coco is a young, small Chihuahua mix with a short black and white or cream coat. He is male and has been neutered, and his vaccinations are up to date. Coco came to the shelter after his previous owner had to move and couldn’t bring him. At nine months old, he’s been through quite a bit for such a young Chihuahua mix. Shelter life is still new to him, so he can be shy at first and takes some time to warm up to new situations. Coco needs a patient person who is ready to give him the space and understanding he deserves, especially as he adjusts to the world outside the shelter. He’d be happiest in a quieter environment with older children or adults rather than small kids. Since arriving, Coco has been neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm and Lyme, and microchipped. When he trusts you, his affectionate side starts to show, and you’ll see there’s a sweet, loyal companion waiting beneath his shy surface.
