About Gunnar

Gunnar is a striking two-year-old Border Collie with a sweet nature and a gentle spirit. He spent his early years mostly outdoors with his siblings and had little socialization, but in his foster home, he’s started to blossom. Gunnar has a low to medium energy level. Most of the time, he prefers lounging on his dog bed, but he’s always up for a walk or car ride. He is house-broken and easy to have around the house. Gunnar takes his time learning to trust but, with patience, he becomes incredibly loyal—a true Velcro dog. He can’t be left alone in a chain link fence, as he’s known to slip out. A calm, patient person or family will give him the quiet environment he needs. He’s shown no aggression—just timidity if he feels overwhelmed or rushed. He has been good with other dogs, especially calm companions, and avoids cats. He will thrive with someone who lets him set the pace and stay close. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
