About Goof
Goof is a warm-hearted, affectionate young pup with a personality that fills every room he enters. He loves people and treats everyone like a friend, happy to snuggle up or trail along behind you as you go about your day. At bedtime, he’s always up for curling up close by—wherever you are, that’s where Goof wants to be. Still young, he’s working on his manners and sometimes gets mouthy or bouncy when excitement gets the best of him. Because of this, Goof would be happiest in a family with older or dog-savvy kids while he finishes learning the ropes. He’s keen to learn and is already making progress with basic hand signals and commands. Goof enjoys time with other dogs, especially larger ones, and living with a dog-savvy cat has gone well—as long as the cat isn’t one to dash away. House training is coming along, and he’s a champion sleeper through the night. As a deaf dog, Goof will thrive with someone willing to bring patience and creativity to his training; he’s a smart, eager student who just needs your encouragement. Goof can be hesitant in new situations, so continued outings, walks, and gentle encouragement are important for him to keep building confidence. He’s unfolding more each day, revealing heart and loyalty that will win over anyone willing to give him the chance. Click apply to start the adoption process.
