About Phantom
Meet Phantom, a quiet, gentle Chihuahua mix who lives up to her name. At one year old, Phantom leans toward tranquility and comfort, making her a great fit for a calm, cozy home. She’s a lean, athletic little dog—about 20 pounds and full grown—who enjoys playful moments but mostly wants to curl up next to you. Phantom does well in familiar surroundings and loves to snuggle on her foster’s lap, especially if you’ve got treats handy. When encountering new places or people, she needs a little time to settle in, but she adapts quickly. She’s crate trained and sleeps soundly through the night, is house trained on potty pads, and is learning her way with a leash. Play sessions involve a lot of jumping for treats; she’s so light on her feet, it’s like having a bunny in the living room. She gets along with other dogs, particularly those close to her own small size, and she’s a good match for homes with children. She’s quiet, affectionate, and happy to keep you company while you work remotely—as long as you keep her supplied with toys. Phantom has a low-grade luxating patella that doesn’t currently require surgery, but future monitoring may be needed. She is available for adoption throughout Texas and the Northeastern states and is being fostered in Warren, RI. Click apply to start the adoption process.
