About Athena
Meet Athena, a small terrier mix who’s made remarkable progress in her first months. At nearly 6 months old and weighing 15 lbs, Athena still shows hints of her early dainty days but now stands out as bold, active, and sharp as a tack. She packs plenty of energy and loves to play, ready for action from early morning until late in the evening. When it’s finally time to settle down, Athena can nestle into a pile of pillows and become an expert snuggler. Athena is kennel trained, walks best with a canine friend, and has picked up house training and the dog door routine like a pro. She’s quick to sit for treats and loves her chew bones. Social at heart, Athena thrives with a dog companion and must have a canine sibling in her new home—cats are fine too, if a dog is present. She’s affectionate but likes to build trust first. Once comfortable, she’s eager to explore and snuggle, and her brave streak comes out. She needs a family willing to keep up with her active schedule, reinforce her habits, and offer guidance as she continues to grow. Athena is currently fostered in Lago Vista, TX, and adoptable in Central Texas and Northeastern states. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
