About Athena
Meet Athena, a nearly 6-month-old terrier mix who's outgrown her early dainty phase and become a smart, active, and surprisingly brave pup. She clocks in at about 15 pounds now and brings a big personality to match her energy. Athena keeps herself busy from early morning till late evening—she thrives on regular play, activity, and companionship. Give her a pile of soft pillows and she'll transform into a champion napper when it's time to relax. Athena is kennel trained, a pro at using the dog door, and already knows how to "sit" for treats. She walks well with another dog and shows her best side when she has a canine companion—she really does need a dog buddy in her new home. Athena’s also fine with cats as long as there’s another dog around. With new people, she takes a bit of time to warm up, but once you’ve earned her trust, she shows her affectionate, loving side and will stick by you. Training treats, structure, and a playful environment will help her continue to thrive. This fun, athletic girl is currently fostered in Lago Vista, TX but available for adoption in Central Texas and the Northeast, including Warren, RI. Fun fact: Athena is a Capricorn, so she brings loyalty and a bit of bold spirit wherever she goes. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
