About Floyd
You can’t Pink of a better companion than Floyd! This boy is a curious, affectionate German Shepherd mix who thrives on belly rubs, exploring, and learning new things. Floyd will roll over for trusted friends, walks politely on a leash, and has a sharp nose for treats. He loves fetch—well, except for giving the ball back—and looks forward to sharing snuggly moments after a full day of activity. Floyd is house trained and loves his crate, considering it his comfort zone. He knows his basic cues and listens well. While he’s eager to please, he’s a bit shy with new people and warms up to men faster, simply because he’s more familiar with them. He struggles with small, confined spaces and needs medication at the vet to help manage his anxiety. Floyd is new to Colorado after a long trip from Oklahoma, and some things still feel overwhelming. He gets along okay with smaller dogs but is afraid of larger ones. Cats seem interesting to him—maybe a little too much—so a home without cats or with savvy, dog-experienced cats is best. He enjoys the company of cows and chickens at the ranch where he’s staying, and loves to run in the yard. He’s never spent time with young kids and prefers an adults-only home, as he tends to jump up on older children. Floyd is happy to entertain himself while alone but looks forward to pets and cuddles when his people return. He’d do best in a stable, loving home, ideally without other animals or children. With patience and plenty of affection, Floyd will return every bit of love given to him. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
