About Hogan
Hogan is an 8-year-old Shepherd/Husky mix who combines the manners of a gentleman with the spark of a much younger dog. He narrowly avoided euthanasia at a Kansas shelter and is now enjoying Colorado life, eager for his next chapter. Hogan is neutered, fully vaccinated, house trained, and kennel trained. He’s friendly with other dogs out on walks and doesn’t bark much, except to alert you if someone’s at the door. He has a playful side and plenty of energy for hikes, neighborhood strolls, or romps in the yard. Hogan’s history is marked by resilience; he lost his former home simply because his previous owner had too many dogs. When navigating new spaces, he’s initially reserved but quickly opens up to show his affectionate, loyal nature. He’d do best with older children—no little ones—since new sights and sounds can make him a bit nervous in the beginning. A cat-free home is ideal, as he’s a little too interested in feline neighbors. This guy needs a secure 6-foot fence or a vigilant leash-walker—he can clear a shorter fence without much effort. Born February 25th, Hogan is a Pisces, known for sensitivity and loyalty—traits the right family will treasure. He’s currently being fostered in Colorado Springs and ready to meet you.
