About Gladys
Gladys is a 4-year-old Miniature Dachshund who left her puppy mill past behind as soon as she landed in foster care. After years of being bred for profit, most dogs hang onto some scars, but Gladys is wired for trust and has let her new world in with remarkable openness. She greets her foster family with pure devotion, trailing after them and waiting for belly rubs or snuggles—she’s never been one for hugs, but leans into affection on her own terms. She had some dental needs early on that are now being addressed, but otherwise got a clean bill of health. Gladys shares her foster home easily with four other small dogs and gets along well with the resident cats. It took her a minute to get comfortable outside, but treat motivation and repetition flipped that switch—now she zips around the yard living out her zoomie ambitions. She’s crate trained, quiet, and soaks up the day-to-day routine as if she’s always known it. Fast movements might startle her, so a home with older children (8+) suits her best, though she handled supervised visits from younger kids with a calm interest. Gladys is ready to offer her loyalty, affection, and tiny-dog charm to a family who will finally give her the comfort she’s always deserved. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
