About Dewey
Dewey is a social, affectionate old guy with a real fondness for being a couch potato. He’s laid-back most of the time and spends much of his day in the bedroom, perfectly content to lounge. Dewey loves going on car rides and appreciates daily walks, but he doesn’t pull on the leash and generally keeps things calm outside. He isn’t crate-trained, and his household has always let him live free in the home. Barking shows up when he’s reactive or if someone touches his paws, but otherwise Dewey doesn’t show problem behaviors. He warms up to family and handles baths and brushing just fine. Treats—especially peanut butter and cheese crackers—are a huge motivator. Dewey understands Spanish and will ‘sit’ in English, so he brings a bit of bilingual charm. Both wet and dry food, plus home-cooked meals, have served him well all his life. He gets along with cats, dogs, and children, making him a flexible fit for a multi-pet home or family.
