About Tweed
Meet Tweed! Tweed is a 2-year-old Terrier with a gentle heart and a playful streak. She’s been thriving in the Puppies for Parole program, set to graduate on June 12th, and she shows real progress every day. Tweed adores being outside; it’s clear she feels her best when she can explore the yard, chase her dog buddies, or simply bask in the sunshine. She quickly befriends other dogs and genuinely enjoys group play and roll-arounds. Tweed is learning a lot: she responds to basic commands like "No," "Yes," and "Stop," and she’s been working on new skills such as sitting for attention and tolerating grooming. Her confidence has grown steadily, especially with crowds and unfamiliar people—a shy dog who’s determined to overcome her fears, one day at a time. Because she can startle easily and may try to escape, Tweed requires a securely fenced yard in her new home. She’s also making great headway with potty training. Tweed would do best with a patient, understanding family who will give her the support and time she needs to settle in. In return, she’ll bring loyalty, affection, and a sense of adventure every day. Fun fact: Tweed is an Aquarius, so expect a quirky, independent spirit! Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
