Callie is a medium-sized adult female terrier, spayed and up to date on her vaccinations. She is house trained and enjoys being part of an active household. She was recently treated for heartworms and will need to remain on preventative medication year-round. Callie is currently being cared for at Furry Kids Refuge.

About Callie

Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin! Meet Callie, a lively 3.5-year-old medium-sized terrier who is full of enthusiasm and always ready for adventure. Callie adores her humans—especially children—and loves spending time with other dogs her size. She enjoys staying active, from long walks and jogs to energetic runs in the yard. Because Callie is an impressive high-jumper and skilled climber, she requires a secure wood or wrought iron fence, or an active family committed to plenty of walks. While she does well with dogs her own size, smaller pups and unpredictable kitties can sometimes catch her off guard. Callie takes her monthly baths in stride and needs regular nail trims, while her favorite way to eat her kibble is with a little water in the morning. She's a graduate of K-9 citizenship school and knows commands like sit, shake, and lay down—though she’s still learning to stay, particularly at the front door. Callie is comfortable in a kennel for short periods (with a chewy treat, of course) but prefers being with her people. She's a sensitive soul during noisy holidays and appreciates medication and support during fireworks. Recently treated for heartworms, she must stay on year-round prevention going forward. Callie is spayed, fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, and microchipped, making her ready for her forever home. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
