About Blue Take My

Velvety Blue is a big, lovable goof who can't help but show off. At 4 years old, Blue already knows sit, paw, and gimme ten, and he does them with a wagging confidence. But, true to his bouncy personality, when leaving his kennel he greets people with more enthusiasm than manners—his big, rowdy hello is a work in progress. Luckily, Blue comes with a Handsome Dan's Rescue Take My Lead grant that covers up to $500 in free private training after adoption. The belief is, once Blue settles into a real home and decompresses, much of this wild greeting will ease up. After burning off steam in the play yard, Blue is quick to crash at your feet and offer up his belly for rubs. He's house trained, neutered, and up to date on vaccinations. Blue has been passed around a bit but hasn't had a rough time—just hasn't found his true place yet. He has previously lived with another dog and gets along well with dogs, but he isn't the right fit for a home with cats. Blue’s only wish is for a forever family who gets him and helps him finally put down roots. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
