About Cookie
Meet your new brindle shadow, Cookie. He is a five-month-old catahoula mix known for his striking coat and those soft, gentle eyes. Cookie’s start wasn’t the easiest—he and his littermates were found abandoned by a river—but he keeps a calm and protective demeanor, always seeking a little love and reassurance from his person. Cookie is still learning that regular meals are part of his new life, and he checks in often just to make sure food is coming. He’s making steady progress with house training; he tends to be hesitant about going outdoors, probably because he finds safety inside, but he’s already caught on to ringing the bells at the door and has had very few accidents. He bonds with other dogs and benefits from a confident canine buddy, staying playful until he crashes out for a nap right next to you. Overnight, Cookie sleeps soundly and prefers not to rush out of bed, enjoying an extra cuddle if you have the time. Cookie gets along well with other dogs and would do best in a home with a friend. He is still figuring out his feelings around kids and cats. Click apply to start the adoption process.
