About Brownie
Brownie the Brave started life with a rough hand, found with his siblings by the river, but he’s already shown he’s resilient and resourceful. At five months old, this tricolor Catahoula mix is small for now but has a sturdy presence, always curious and not one to back away from new things. Independence is his comfort zone, but when things get overwhelming, he looks for support from humans and the other dogs around him. Brownie’s built a strong sense of security in his foster home, knowing he’ll be fed and cared for—he’s still learning not every meal needs to be his last. He sleeps through the night and has mastered potty training, understanding when it’s time to go outside right away. Playtime is serious business for Brownie. He keeps up with bigger, older dogs and doesn’t mind a little rough-and-tumble action. He’d do his best in a home with another playful canine companion who can handle his energy and won’t mind if Brownie is a bit boisterous. He gets along well with other dogs, though his interactions with cats or kids are still a question mark. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
