About Muppet
Meet Muppet, a lively and lovable young pup, about a year old and around 60 pounds, who might be a unique mix of German Shepherd, Australian Kelpie, and maybe a bit of Doberman. His coat is a rich blend of black and brown, and his personality is all heart. Muppet thrives on being involved in everything his people do—he's as curious as they come, always eager for a new adventure and never wanting to miss out. He’s devoted, goofy, and still has plenty of puppy energy. If you're looking for a partner for daily walks, hikes, or any outdoor fun, he’s right there with you, tail wagging and ready to go. At home, Muppet turns his affection up to eleven. He loves snuggles, giving kisses, and thinks he belongs on your lap, regardless of his size. He’s learning manners but sometimes gets excited and jumps up to say hello. Enthusiasm is in his nature, so he'll do well with consistent guidance and continued training. Muppet does great with other dogs—especially playful companions close to his size—and takes cues well from them. He also lives peacefully alongside a dog-savvy cat, making him a good fit for homes with other pets. He's mostly house-trained, walks nicely on leash after a bit of excitement, and happily crates when needed. Like many young dogs, he can be a little mischievous if left alone too long, so supervision and plenty of chew toys will help. Muppet’s foster family says he’s affectionate, eager to please, and always ready for the next big adventure. At heart, he simply wants to be close to his people and be a part of the fun, whether it’s chasing squirrels or just hanging out together. He’s searching for a family willing to help him grow into the amazing dog he’s meant to be. Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin!
