Meet Poppy, a black and white Lab mix with five years under her belt and an easy charm that wins over just about everyone. Poppy’s snowy chest, white paws, and perky black ears aren’t just cute—they mark her out in any crowd, especially with a wag and a on-the-nose cuddle request. At about 65 pounds, she’s substantial enough to keep your feet warm but gentle enough to relax beside a baby without a fuss. Other dogs—especially little ones—bring out her playful side and she’ll lean right in for a game or a snuggle. She gets a bit excitable spotting new friends on walks and can get curious with cats and squirrels, sometimes pulling on the leash when they’re around. Play fetch in the yard and she’ll light up, then wind down carrying shoes back to her bed or launching into spy-movie zoomies.
