About Grover Chillington

Meet Grover Chillington, a dog whose journey started in one of Houston’s toughest shelters and came this close to ending too soon. A foster family spotted his gentle personality and stepped in just in time—turns out, Grover’s nothing short of a rescue jackpot. Despite being mistaken for a senior at first (he’s only around 2-3), Grover is the chillest companion you’ll find. At about 48 pounds, he’s that ideal medium size and carries himself with the ease of an old soul. He wants to be wherever his people are—lounging in the backyard, following along on walks, or finding the softest spot inside for a good nap. Grover enjoys time outdoors but doesn’t need runs or hikes to feel content; a couple daily walks and your company are his favorites. On the farm, he sticks close and never wanders far. House trained, mellow, and not at all destructive, he eases right into any room and gets along with everyone, animal and human alike. He might be a little shy for the first minute, but wait for the belly-up invitation—it never takes long. Grover handles other dogs, farm animals, and new friends with calm curiosity and friendliness. He’s low on barking, high on charm, and manages to surprise anyone who tries to guess his breed. He’s finishing up heartworm treatment now and will be ready to head home in July, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered. He’s fostered in Houston but can be transported almost anywhere you are. Give this easygoing guy the fresh start he deserves—he’s impossible not to love. Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin!
