About Bonnie

Bonnie is a pint-sized Yorkshire Terrier in Houston, TX who packs a surprising amount of love and joy into her 7.5-pound frame. At about 14 months old, she’s all energy and happiness—ready to party with anyone, whether human or canine. Bonnie came from a breeder, and though she healed from a puppyhood jaw injury all on her own, it only adds to her charm and doesn’t slow her down one bit. She gets along well with other dogs and thrives in a multi-dog home, but she’d also be quite content as the center of attention in a single-dog household. She’s fully house trained and only rarely uses a potty pad if she can’t get outside. Bonnie sleeps quietly in her crate with the door open and waits patiently for morning before starting her day. She adores sitting on the couch or curling up in your lap, and she’s always game for stuffed toys and chew bones. Bonnie listens well, figures things out quickly, and travels without fuss. She’s not barky unless riled by a bad influence. Having gotten used to electronic dog doors and covered outdoor spaces, she’s ready for the next chapter. Bonnie does best with smaller friends—her rescue prefers homes without large breed dogs and with adults only. Bonnie is spayed and up-to-date on vaccines, so she’s ready to meet her new family. Questions about Bonnie

  • What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?

Yorkshire Terriers like Bonnie thrive in homes where they can be close to people, whether that's an apartment or a house. They often do best in adult or quieter homes, especially when they're small and lively.

  • How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?

Bonnie, as a Yorkshire Terrier, doesn't need a huge backyard—she's happy with regular walks and a safe outdoor area to use the bathroom. Small, secure yards or even apartments with access to walks work well.

  • Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?

While Yorkshire Terriers are affectionate, their small size means they're often better with adults or older, gentle children. Bonnie, in particular, is not recommended for homes with young kids.
