About Darla

Darla is a sweet, resilient girl who’s looking for a family to call her own. After being surrendered at a city shelter with another pet, she landed in foster care and has been opening up more each day. In her foster home, Darla gets along easily with other dogs and really seems to enjoy having a canine buddy around. She’s spent time with cats as well—she’s a little careful and shy but is getting more confident and curious by the day. Play is big for Darla. She’s happiest when she has a toy to chew or carry, and you’ll spot her trotting around with one in her mouth. She’s making good progress with crate training and is starting to understand the daily routine in her foster home. House training is coming along well, too—she learned the lay of the house quickly, and only had a couple of accidents during her first days. Above all, Darla is gentle and loving. She’s looking for patience and kindness, and in return, she’ll be deeply loyal and affectionate. If you want a soft-natured, playful companion, Darla could be the missing piece in your home.
