About Penny Cirkle
Meet Penny Cirkle, a tricolor Australian Cattle Dog mix based in Houston, TX. She’s playful, athletic, gentle, and affectionate—a mix that gives her a lot of range as a companion. Penny landed on the euthanasia list at a local shelter but found a second chance thanks to a foster with Sunnyside Street Dogs. Since then, she’s become a loyal, loving dog who thrives being close to her people. Potty and kennel trained, Penny is sharp and learns quickly—she already knows how to sit and listens well. She’s the ultimate velcro dog, always seeking out cuddles or just the chance to be by your side. She’s toy-obsessed (tennis balls are her thing), and she’ll carry them around just to show off. Even so, she’s calm on the leash and isn’t distracted by wildlife, which makes walks straightforward. She does best in a house where people want an affectionate, engaged dog. Penny warms up to women easily but is initially shy with men. Given some patience and consistency, she’ll become comfortable and trusting. She gets along well with calm, respectful dogs and enjoys a relaxed environment. She’s fully vaccinated, spayed, and ready for her next chapter. Penny is waiting for someone to give her a real home and her happily ever after. Think you are the one? Submit an application!
