About Ariel
Ariel is a 2.5-year-old Staffordshire Terrier/Catahoula mix in New Orleans, LA. Petite but tough, Ariel has handled a lot for a young dog—she lost one eye as a puppy and has limited vision, but it doesn’t dull her spirit. Her signature is a permanent wink and an enthusiastic "hippo wiggle" when she’s excited. She’s been a firehouse favorite, survived a rough start, and spent the last two years with a family and a German Shepherd sibling. Ariel genuinely adores people she trusts and will plop herself directly onto your feet whether you’re standing or curled up on the couch. She’s house-trained, crate-trained, fully spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her vet care. Ariel gets along great with dogs and has thrived living with a large canine companion; she’s also respectful and calm with a senior cat. Because her eyesight is limited, she can be startled by fast movements, so she needs a home with adults or older, dog-savvy kids. A securely fenced yard lets her explore safely, and she’d love a playful dog sibling but would also thrive as your one-and-only. Ariel is a survivor who is ready to settle in with a forever family that understands her unique needs and can offer predictable love and care. Click apply to start the adoption process.
