Cooper
AvailableCooper is a large, neutered adult male mixed breed dog currently in Cincinnati, OH. He’s shared homes with cats and young children before and would do best in a setting where he can get plenty of exercise with space to run. He’s happiest with people, thrives on attention, and benefits from structure like crate training.
About Cooper
Meet Cooper, a big-hearted adventurer who is just as comfortable exploring the great outdoors as he is curled up on your lap. Cooper loves outings, car rides, fishing trips, swimming, and hiking—any excuse to get out and move. In new places packed with people, he thrives on attention and gladly accepts pets and treats from everyone he meets. When it comes to cats, Cooper has shared a home with them and mostly ignores them. He’s also been gentle and patient around kids, especially those between the ages of three and seven. With dogs, Cooper can be cautious and sometimes wary, so introductions should be careful and he may be happiest as the only dog in the home. Describing Cooper as a “velcro dog” isn’t an exaggeration—he wants to be right by your side, leaning in and climbing into your lap at every chance. He’s crate trained but does require a tough, sturdy crate since he’s been known to escape from flimsy wire ones. As a working breed mix with high energy, he truly needs an active home with a large yard and daily exercise. If you already have another dog, a careful introduction at the shelter is recommended before bringing Cooper home. If you want a loyal, affectionate companion who loves to be part of all your adventures, Cooper could be your perfect match. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
