About Jessie

Jessie is a 2-year-old pit/husky/Great Pyrenees mix with a soulful, gentle presence. Weighing around 65 lbs, she brings a calm energy and a steady wag to every room. Jessie thrives on soft attention, trailing after people she trusts and melting in the sun or simply lounging by your side. Her affection runs deep and, though she can act a little shy or submissive, she’s always quick to seek comfort from a friendly hand—loud noises might startle her, so a calm, patient household is best. Leash walks are a breeze, and she’s fully potty and crate trained. Jessie gets along beautifully with dogs and cats, happily fitting in with other pets, and she’s gentle and friendly toward children of all ages, even tiny toddlers. She’s genuinely welcoming with everyone she meets. Her story hasn’t been easy—found living under a house with her puppies, she’d survived being hit by a car and overcome injuries, including a healed pelvis and evidence of having been shot. Through it all, Jessie’s gentle and loving nature never wavered. All her puppies have found homes, and now she’s searching for her own. Jessie is currently undergoing heartworm treatment, which the rescue will continue supporting through to completion. If you want a resilient, easygoing companion who truly embodies "gentle soul," Jessie is ready to find her forever home. She’s located in Krum, TX, and can be adopted either locally or out of state, with all logistics and transport managed by the rescue. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
