About Brooks D
Brooks D brings a lot of heart and quite a bit of comedy to any home. This young, energetic pup is happiest when he's entertaining himself—imagine a one-dog circus, tossing toys in the air and catching them for his own amusement. Brooks relishes his playtime, yet when it's time to relax, he's more than happy to curl up on your lap or sleep with you through the night. His housetraining is coming along; he’s had just one accident, keeps his kennel clean, and has learned the ropes of leash walking. Brooks gets along well with other dogs, especially after a good introduction, and enjoys a proper play session. He is still working on personal boundaries and needs continued guidance, particularly since he sometimes plays rough or gets mouthy—hands can sometimes seem like toys. While he's shown food and toy possessiveness, with supervision around mealtimes and chew items, he does well. Taking treats, Brooks is gentle and responds well to positive reinforcement. Brooks isn’t a fit for homes with kids but is packed with potential for the right adult adopter willing to invest patience and consistency. Initially, he was reactive in his kennel but has made great strides. Originally rescued from Texas, he’s ready for the next chapter with a family of his own. Start your journey together! Apply now.
