About Winnie Lou Arriving

Winnie Lou is a sweet, playful pup still figuring out that the world isn’t as intimidating as it first appeared. She starts off shy, much like her siblings, but settles into her surroundings with a silly, affectionate charm that’s tough to resist. With moderate energy, Winnie Lou loves time with her people, joining in play, and especially hanging out with other dogs. A confident canine buddy would help her stretch her legs and grow her confidence even more. She’s still learning the basics—leash walking, crate training, and daily routines—so a patient home that can offer gentle structure and encouragement will help her thrive. Her quirks include stashing away toys like treasures in odd spots, and when she’s ready to come out of her crate, she will howl to make it clear. Winnie Lou’s playful, gentle, and curious spirit hints at a wonderful lifelong companion, ready to share adventures, build confidence, and enjoy dog friends. Winnie Lou will arrive in Princeton, MN on June 6th, 2026, and must be picked up from Ruff Start Rescue’s office between 9am and noon. She is available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt Program. Veterinary care may be needed once she’s in Minnesota, and fosters need to bring her to vet appointments at the Princeton location. She doesn’t have an official birth certificate, so her exact breed and adult size can’t be guaranteed. Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin!
