About Topher
Topher is a large, gentle Irish Wolfhound mix with a long, fluffy coat and a calm demeanor. This big guy tips the scale at around 80 lbs and came into the shelter after being left on someone's property. Despite his imposing size, Topher got along well with three other dogs at his finder’s home—he just needs slow introductions with new canine friends, as his stature can be intimidating at first sight. He is not a good fit for apartment living; Topher needs space to roam and a family committed to his grooming needs. He enjoys car rides, loves attention and treats, and shows strong house training by waiting to potty outside while at the shelter. Topher would do best in a home with at least one strong handler who can confidently walk a large dog. He’s currently in Alabama but will soon be heading to Woolwich, ME, where he’s hoping to find a forever family. Click apply to start the adoption process.
