About Hayes
Hayes is a lovable, oversized puppy whose biggest joy is piling toys onto the couch and settling in amongst them. He’s soft on stuffed animals, doting on them instead of shredding them, and his personality shines in every goofy thing he does. In his foster home, Hayes is always up for exploring — if something’s taller than he is, he’s determined to check it out, clumsy puppy paws and all. He’s still absorbing house manners and works hard to learn boundaries, especially when it comes to counters and dressers. Hayes hardly barks, but his howl at sirens is a moment you won’t forget. He’s deeply affectionate, wants to be near his people, and loves a snuggle on the sofa. Big changes don’t rattle him for long — he adapts fast and relishes all the love he receives. At heart he’s a sweet, sometimes clingy, gentle boy who’s still figuring out the world one day at a time. Hayes isn’t food or toy aggressive, plays nicely with the resident cat, and his bone-burying antics provide endless entertainment. He’s expected to get even bigger, with his big feet and blocky head hinting at his future size. Hayes will need owners comfortable with boisterous puppy energy. He’s good with dogs and children (though his enthusiasm might be a bit much for very small kids). Heartworm treatment has started, with expenses covered by the rescue. Hayes will arrive in Rhode Island soon, ready to brighten up his forever home. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
