Hey friend, my name is Avery! If you're looking for a sweet and silly girl to adventure with, I may just be the perfect fit. I'm a very playful pup and I love toys of all kinds! Stuffed animals are my favorite - I love to carry one around with me on walks. I'll show you when we meet! I love treats and positive reinforcement. You can use those things to teach me new things and become my best friend of course! I am high energy though and I can become easily frustrated if my energy and exercise needs are not met. I will need positive outlets and a calm environment to help me flourish. I love people so much that I have a history of escaping unless crated and attempting to slip out of my collars. I will need supervision when outdoors or we can go on adventures together - on leash of course! I have such a silly and outgoing personality. I love to cuddle and lay with my friends. Though I would do best with someone who is home most of the time but I am crate trained! I have anxiety I can be worried about being left alone and being in new situations. While I have lived with another dog previously and have had fun playing with dogs here at the shelter, I will need to be your one and only. I have a history of resource guarding my toys from other animals. This just means more playtime and adventuring with just the two of us. I love to be the center of attention. All eyes and pets on me, please! Sometimes I don't know my own size and can bump into things, so I need to go to a home without small children. Older dog-savvy kids are okay though!
