Rosey is a female hound/chocolate Labrador Retriever mix with a young spirit, living in Stoughton, WI. Her brown and tan coat hints at her sweet personality, and she is spayed, vaccinated, and house trained. Rosey is a medium-sized dog around 40 lbs, and she has special needs due to moderate cerebellar hypoplasia, which affects her movement but doesn’t cause her pain.

About Rosey

Rosey is as sweet as they come. Rescued from a hoarding situation in Arkansas, she’s a hound and chocolate lab mix around 1.5 to 2 years old, though it’s her heart that stands out most. Rosey’s affection knows no limits—she wants nothing more than to be next to her person, snuggling on the couch or trailing by your side. Rosey has moderate cerebellar hypoplasia. Her wobbly walk and occasional tumbles make her pretty special, but she never seems bothered by it—she just takes a little extra time and needs to avoid stairs (though at about 40 lbs, she’s small enough to carry when needed). Cerebellar hypoplasia isn’t painful and doesn’t progress over time. She made it through her rough early days with a few resource-guarding quirks, but these have disappeared in her foster home. She’s now friendly with other animals, enjoying the company of both dogs and cats, and she doesn’t show any prey drive. Completely house trained and kennel trained, Rosey will need a plastic-sided crate if crated, as she’s managed to chew out of wire ones. She isn’t destructive when loose in the home, only when confined. Rosey is spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped. She’s looking for someone who will love her soft side and help her enjoy life just as she is. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
