About Stella
Meet Stella, a shy but incredibly sweet hound mix found abandoned in Texas and now opening up more each day. At around 2 years old, she's still gaining her footing but already charms everyone with her gentle spirit and sincere need for affection. Stella loves making soulful eye contact and snuggling close; she'll nudge you for more attention if you stop petting her. While she starts off cautious, her playful side has begun to emerge—especially when she's with her best pup friend, Huck. They're often found playing together or curled up as a pair. She has done well with other dogs at the ranch and, with her medium energy, enjoys both playtime and quiet company. Stella seems like she'd do best with children who are calm and understanding, as too much excitement may make her nervous. Stella is not yet house trained and will soon be spayed as she continues to recover from a tick-borne illness—her spirits and health are both improving every day. With her short, soft, tan-and-white coat, she’s easy to care for and lovely to look at. Stella has not met any cats yet. She is currently in Oregon, WI, waiting to meet someone who will let her blossom into the loyal companion she wants to be. Your new best friend is just one click away.
