About Willie
Willie is a lively 2-year-old, 16-pound Westie/terrier mix with a soft, medium white coat and a real zest for life. He thrives with active families and truly needs a large, securely fenced yard where he can cut loose—zooming around like a miniature greyhound and chasing after toys or even daring the family cat to a friendly pursuit. Willie is fully house trained and takes full advantage of his doggie door, coming and going as he pleases. He adores dogs and even gets along with cats (though he sometimes barks at them in hopes of a fun chase). Playtime is a highlight for Willie; fetch with squeaky or plush toys never gets old. But at his core, he is a lap dog, wanting nothing more than to snuggle up in your arms and soak in your affection. Willie will sleep in a crate all night but makes it clear he'd much prefer curling up with you in bed. He’s smart about walks, hopping onto a chair for his harness, but you'll need to keep a good grip—small as he is, he’s quick when there’s a squirrel or bird to chase. Though excitable and bouncy when greeting people, he is working on his manners. Willie’s boundless energy means he could easily fit as a solo dog or join an energetic playmate. He is loyal, loving, and up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and neutered. Willie is currently in East Wenatchee, WA, and approved adopters within the Pacific Northwest can take advantage of provided transport. Adoption fee is fully sponsored.
