About Jetty

Jetty’s had a rough start, but he looks ready for a second act. After being abandoned in the Mississippi woods, he was rescued and is now waiting for a home where he can finally relax. He’s an adult American Foxhound mix—solid medium size, short tricolor coat, around 45-50 pounds—and shows a mellow, gentle spirit. Right now he’s still out of state, but transport to New England is included if you’re in the region. Jetty does well with other dogs and already knows how to stay clean in his crate, provided he gets regular breaks. Walking on a leash is new for him, so he’ll need some patient training there, but he’s eager to please. His ideal home is a calm one, preferably without young kids. He hasn’t met cats. Medical-wise, he’s up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and was treated for heartworm in April 2026. If you’re looking for a loyal, big-hearted companion, Jetty’s your guy.
