About Lara
Lara is the shelter's longest resident, having been there since March 2025. When she first arrived, the shelter overwhelmed her. She needed time, patience, and the comfort of a foster home to truly come out of her shell. Now, Lara shows her affectionate and playful nature, steadily growing more confident with each passing day. She does best with people who give her space to adjust, letting her form a real bond in her own time. Lara can be shy at first meeting, but with patience, she becomes a genuinely loving and devoted companion. She’s already had some dental work, including tooth removal, and takes it all in stride. An old, healed leg fracture means she has a bit of a wobbly gait, but it never dampens her spirit or slows her down. She gets along well with other cats, and she’ll thrive in a calm home where she’s given plenty of reassurance and kindness. If you’re searching for a cat who just needs a little extra understanding to become an incredibly rewarding friend, Lara is ready and waiting. Start your journey together! Apply now.
