This handsome fellow has been through a bittersweet journey. After his owner passed away, he and his sister were surrendered to a kill shelter. We took them in; Both were severely overweight which tragically led to his sister's health declining. Obesity in cats leads to many health issues; we heartbreakingly had to euthanize his sister. It was a devastating loss and a serious reminder of the importance of maintaining your pet’s weight, but it’s what put Java on a path to a brew-tiful new life! He's been working hard to shed those extra pounds and is feeling so much better. His glow-up is truly something to behold! He's "perked" right up and is ready to show off his new physique. Java is a gentle, tender soul and a total darling. He’s a little slow to warm up—he needs a moment to "simmer"—but once he's comfortable, it could be the start of a brew-tiful friendship! He’s the perfect "blend" of goofy, lazy, & affectionate. We guarantee he’s the sweetest, most half-de-caffeinated goofball you'll ever meet who’s always ready to brew up some fun and mischief but also totally down to hang with the gang on a comfy couch. This little guy has had a lot of sorrow, and he just needs a quiet, calm home filled with love and warmth. Pardon our French roast, but we think he's the best darn part of waking up!
