About Kia

Kia is a gentle, soft-eyed girl who’s just a year old and already looking for her second chance. She landed at the shelter in May, and so far, no one has come forward for her. Kia keeps a low profile—quiet and easy to be around. Training on leash is coming along well, and she listens when asked to sit or stay. Obedience seems to come naturally to her, and she genuinely wants to please. Her brown and white coat is striking, and at about 20 pounds, she fits comfortably into the small-dog category. She isn’t house trained yet, and her social preferences with children or other pets haven’t been chalked out—time at the shelter is sometimes too short for the fuller picture. Vaccinations are current, she’s heartworm negative, and she’ll be spayed and microchipped before she leaves. If you’re near Marietta, GA, Kia is waiting patiently in run 312.
