He arrived at Cobb Animal Services on May 22nd after his owner was no longer able to care for him, and through no fault of his own this sweet, playful boy is now navigating the noise and uncertainty of shelter life. He is house trained, cat friendly, and good with children — a genuinely well-rounded young dog who deserves far better than a kennel. The shelter environment is loud and overwhelming, and Doodle is feeling that. He is a little shy right now, which is completely understandable given how suddenly his world changed. The dog who shows up once he feels safe and settled in a quiet home is going to be something wonderful — sweet and playful and ready to give everything he has to the people who choose him. At approximately one year old and 40 lbs, Doodle is still growing into himself, with an estimated adult weight of 50 to 65 lbs. He is at the very beginning of his story — young enough to adapt beautifully to a new home, old enough to already show what a good boy he truly is. A patient, calm home where he can decompress and come into his own is all he needs.
