About Stovepipe
Stovepipe is the sort of puppy who sees personal space as a challenge to overcome. The name for his breedāDachshund and Poodle mixādoesnāt matter to him as long as heās allowed to curl up right next to you (or maybe on top of you) whenever he gets the chance. Stovepipe is about 3-4 months old and came to rescue overwhelmed and unsure, but heās been figuring out that daily life is pretty great: mornings start with a potty break, followed by a healthy mix of naps, mild food experiments, toy expeditions, exploring the backyard, and supervising his humans. Heās part toy connoisseur, part snuggle expert, and is never far from his people. Crating isnāt his styleāheād rather sleep pressed up against his foster family all night and is surprisingly content to hold it till morning. Stovepipe came in shut down and anxious but has blossomed into a velcro puppy, tail wags and all. He really lights up around other playful dogs and thrives as part of a pack; a home with a confident, friendly canine companion would help continue his upward trajectory. House training is off to a strong start. He figures out routines quickly, joins in when thereās play to be had, and quietly hovers when a lap becomes available. Stovepipe will do best with patient adopters ready to include him in daily life (furniture sharing is a given), ideally with another playful dog by his side. Watching him grow into himself is proof that patience and kindness works wonders. Ready to make your couch (and pillow) his new favorite place? Give them the home they have been waiting for.
