About Karen Wheeler
Karen Wheeler is the perfect shadow for someone who actually enjoys having a dog around. Sheās a 46-pound spayed female, about a year and a half old, with a talent for staying closeānot on your lap, but always nearby. If you disappear for too long, sheāll call you back but settles down after a few minutes. Her real currency is pets and kisses, not treats, though sheās smart and learns best with love and routine. She knows "go to bed!" and her own name, still working on the basics like "sit" and "stay." Despite a frown that never budges, her tail never stopsāitās been called ādangerously happy.ā Karen is happiest with regular walks and plenty of yard time. Unleash her in a fenced yard and stand back: sheāll burn off energy with frantic zoomies, then nap like itās her job. Sheās almost perfectly house trained and does well with consistent routines. Karen loves other dogs and knows how to be gentle with older dogs. Sheās lived in a home with a cat and was curious, not reactive. Sheās great with kidsāno jumping or barking, just tail wags and kisses. Young childrenās cries sometimes worry her, so a home with toddlers or older is best. She has a thing for squeaky toys, keeps a pile of them in her bed, and prefers sleeping with humans at night. Karen Wheeler is in a foster home in Detroit, MI and ready to find her people.
