About Mario Urgent
Mario is at a critical point in the shelter system and urgently needs a home to avoid euthanasia. He is a five-year-old Siberian Husky who has been at Kern County Animal Services since May 18, 2026. Mario has a long, fluffy coat with gray, silver, black, and creamy white coloring that gives him a striking look typical of his breed. Mario is not yet house trained and needs an adopter who can help him learn the ropes of home life. While he hasn't had the benefit of outdoor space at the shelter, he remains gentle and approachable even under stressful conditions. The shelter where Mario is housed is overcrowded, so he is at risk simply due to a lack of space. Anyone interested in fostering or adopting Mario can arrange for transportation if based on the West Coast. He is currently vaccinated, not neutered, and ready to move to a real home where he can finally decompress and start fresh. Mario deserves a safe place after all he's been through. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
