About Asser

Asser is a nine-month-old male with a striking black and white tuxedo coat and the unmistakable long fur of a Persian/Turkish Van mix. All adoptable cats here, including Asser, are neutered, fully vaccinated, treated for parasites, microchipped, FIV/FELV negative, and come with their own travel crate. The adoption fee simply covers costs, and all donations are tax-deductible as allowed. If you are new to Persians, this may not be the right fit—serious prior Persian experience is required, as these cats need diligent care. Expect annual grooming, dental, and veterinary visits, and be ready to invest in premium-quality food. The rescue doesn’t work with breeders and only rehomes cats in need, never sourcing them from markets. Each match is thoughtfully considered with cat and applicant compatibility in mind: it’s not first-come, first-served. Additionally, Asser represents the legacy of Native Mau Cats of Egypt, one of the oldest lines of domesticated cats, distinguished by intelligence and a unique spotted look. Ready to fall in love?
