About Gator
Gator is a young, extra-large domestic long hair living it up in a foster home in West Lafayette, IN. At just over a year old and about 15 pounds, he’s a big kitten at heart—a goofy, playful presence who loves to romp, chase, and show off his charming dorky side. Gator gets along well with other cats and thrives with feline companions. He’s big on snuggles, loves to be held, enjoys a good brushing, and will greet you with head bumps and kisses if he’s feeling at ease. New people tend to make him a bit shy at first, especially men, since he’s mostly been a momma’s boy and is more comfortable around women. Gator’s sensitive stomach and allergies mean he thrives on a strict diet: only Blue Buffalo Skin & Stomach food, with zero treats or wet food. If you’re patient and have a gentle touch, Gator will reward you with a loyal, loving presence. Your new best friend is just one click away.

Questions about Gator
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Gator, as a domestic long hair, adapts well to indoor living, especially in a home where he can enjoy plenty of space to lounge and play. He will be happiest with cat-friendly features and cozy spots to relax.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Domestic long hair cats like Gator have no special need for outdoor space and do very well as indoor cats. Access to windows and interactive play opportunities will keep him content.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Most domestic long hairs do well in homes with respectful children. Gator is gentle and playful, but given his shyness, a home with quieter, older kids would be best.
