About Oaklee
Oaklee is back and still searching for her forever home. In just a year and a half, she has survived far more than most—found curled up in a storm drain during a brutal winter, abandoned with a lifeless front leg, afraid and in pain. The trap was set, and Oaklee walked right in. At first she was terrified, barking and snapping, but once she realized she was safe, that fear gave way to unforgettable sweetness. After her rescue, she had her damaged leg removed, was spayed, fully vetted, and began to heal. Today, Oaklee is a vibrant, golden-coated beauty with striking eyes and that classic mix of pit bull, boxer, and weimaraner strength wrapped in one. She loves water and sunshine and would play fetch for hours if you'll let her. Crate training came naturally for her, she's mastered house training, and she enjoys playing with other dogs with the right introductions. She’s only met a cat once—licked her lips but made no move—so cautious introductions would be best. Oaklee does have a quirk: toy-guarding, performed with real dramatic flair, but it’s a work in progress. Her last adoption fell through for reasons beyond her control, so she’s patiently waiting for someone who sees her for the survivor she is—a dog with a spirit as deep as a thunderstorm and just as bright when the clouds clear. If you’re ready to say, “You’re mine. Forever,” she’s waiting for you. Click apply to start the adoption process.
