About Rockwell
Rockwell is a 1-year, 9-month-old American Staffordshire Terrier mix who’s spent nearly his whole life waiting for a family. He came into rescue at just 12 weeks after a bad leg break, facing surgery and recovery at a young age. Despite this tough start, Rockwell bounced back with an affectionate spirit and a calm, gentle heart. Years in foster care have made him form a deep attachment to his caretaker, so he’ll need a patient adopter willing to give him the time to acclimate. But once he trusts you, he’s as loyal and loving as they come. Rockwell is excellent with kids, always using a gentle touch when taking treats, and happily plays with dogs of all sizes. He’s shown curiosity with cats and has done well with dog-savvy felines. At night, he’ll wiggle close for a cuddle, and during the day, he relishes long runs in the open. Though not house trained yet, his adaptability and intelligence promise good progress with consistent care. After everything he’s overcome, Rockwell deserves a stable, understanding home.
