About Mayday

Mayday—or MayMay, as she's often called—knows what it means to start over. Dumped at the rescue a few years ago in rough shape, her tough start earned her that urgent name. It’s a different story now. At 6 to 7 years old, Mayday is a large Great Dane and American Staffordshire Terrier mix with a short brindle and brown coat that flashes in the sun. She wants nothing more than to be close to people and craves every moment spent by your side. Few things make her happier than a long car ride, head out the window and ears in the wind. Mayday tends to bond closely and would really prefer being the only furry household member. She sometimes does okay with male dogs but excels on her own. She cannot live with cats and needs a home with kids over 12. She’s gentle with people and truly wants to connect but will need help learning basic house training skills since she’s accustomed to kennel life. Someone willing to give her patience and consistency will discover Mayday is all heart. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
