Shasta
AvailableShasta is a young, black Poodle mix living in Racine, WI. At about 2 months old, he's an unneutered male with a short coat, and is not yet fully house trained. Shasta is up to date on his age-appropriate vaccines. His breed mix and current size suggest he’ll grow into a large dog as he matures.
About Shasta
Shasta is a playful and upbeat pup who brings energy and joy everywhere he goes. He gets along with both his siblings and the foster family's own dogs, and even the household cats approve of him. Shasta is eager to please people, forming fast bonds with his human friends, and he adores laps, soft beds, toys, his food, treats, and just rolling around outside. When playtime pauses, he’s content to curl up in your lap, craving pets, belly rubs, and nap time. While he’s still working on fully mastering house training, he already understands how to use puppy pads most of the time. Shasta isn’t the noisy type—he’ll make standard puppy sounds in excitement, but rarely barks. Nighttime in the crate is no issue, and he wakes up ready to greet everyone with a happy tail. Given his current size, his vet expects he could reach 60-70 lbs as an adult. Shasta will thrive with someone ready for an active, friendly pup who’s good with cats, dogs, and children, and committed to his continued training and socialization. Ready to fall in love? Questions about Shasta
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Shasta, as a large Poodle mix, will do best in a home that offers plenty of space for exercise, either with a secure yard or access to parks. He adapts well to active households ready to include him in daily routines.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Large Poodle mixes like Shasta appreciate a yard to run and play in, but regular walks and outings can also meet his energy needs. A fenced yard would let him burn off puppy energy safely.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Shasta is great with children and enjoys their company. Poodle mixes generally make loving companions for families, provided play is always supervised while he’s young.
