About Pepper
Pepper came into rescue as one of several pups abandoned in a box. She’s a young Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler mix with striking bicolor markings and a unique pair of two-colored eyes that set her apart. Pepper is playful and affectionate with her foster, but she’s also a bit timid and will need a patient adopter who can help her build trust at her own pace. She’s estimated to be around 2 to 3 months old and, at just 6 pounds a week ago, will likely remain on the smaller side. Since arriving in foster care, Pepper has shown a great appetite and is steadily gaining weight. Her short coat is easy to maintain, and her friendly nature comes through once she’s comfortable. She’s received her first round of puppy vaccines and has been dewormed a few times, with more vaccinations to come as recommended by the vet. Not yet house trained, she’s still learning the ropes like most puppies her age. Pepper gets along with other dogs and children, and she’s looking for a family willing to give her a gentle start and a safe place to grow. She’s in Paramus, NJ and ready to find a home to call her own. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
