Bogey #A5766072 was surrendered by his family after an alleged bite incident. The claim is that he bit someone on the buttocks while they were entering the yard. We do not know the full circumstances surrounding what happened, and shelter notes can never tell the complete story. What we do know is the dog standing in front of us today. Bogey is a young 2-year-old Shepherd/Malinois mix currently being fostered in Bayville, NJ. Since leaving the shelter environment, he has shown himself to be a sensitive, affectionate, and loving boy who enjoys being around people and does well with other dogs. Cats are currently unknown. Bogey is incredibly smart, eager to learn, and very receptive to training. Like many working breeds, he will need a knowledgeable adopter who understands Shepherds and Malinois-type dogs and is committed to continuing his training and providing the structure he thrives on. In the right hands, Bogey has the potential to become an amazing companion and partner. We cannot say enough good things about this boy.
